Prince William and Kate Middleton would like to be 'invisible'

They are the most famous couple in the world, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge admitted they would like the power to become invisible, as they chatted to members of the public yesterday.

Jaz Heber Percy, 13, asked the Duke what superpower he would like to have if he could be a superhero.

The Duke replied, "That's a hard question - I'm not sure. I'll have to think about it. I think invisibility."

Later, the teenager asked the Duchess the same question.

Miss Percy said: "Kate said she had to be invisible if William was - otherwise he would be able to sneak up on her."

Her friend Charlotte Phillipson, 13, said: "She found it really tricky to answer."

The Duke is known to treasure his privacy and sometimes craves a less privileged way of life.

In a recent interview, his brother, Prince Harry, said: "There's a lot of times that both myself and my brother wish, obviously, that we were just completely normal."

Phillipson said she burst into tears when the Duchess spoke to her, adding: "She is my idol. She is very down to earth and lovely."

The Duchess was asked for some style tips by Ella Major, 15.

She said, "I asked her how she kept her hair so perfect in this weather, because it's so humid. Mine always pouffes up. She was afraid that her hair might be the same way in a few minutes.."

Luckily for the Duchess, she has her own hairdresser with her to make sure she never has a bad hair day.
