Three Secret Service agents have been discharged from their duties following reports of their alleged involvement in a ‘prostitution scandal’ that surfaced, ahead of an international summit in Columbia.One agent supervisor has had to retire while another has been sacked. He has 30 days to appeal on the case.The incident, which caused a major embarrassment to the White House, prompted the Secret Service to conduct polygraph tests on the 11 accused of being involved in the scandal.The remaining eight agents have been suspended and their security clearances removed, pending a further investigation.A prostitute who refused to leave the Hotel Caribe in Cartagena, sparked off the scandal. She claimed that the Americans did not reveal they were Secret Service agents, and she added that one of the agents who promised her to pay 800 dollars at night, reportedly offered her just 35 dollars the next morning.The Secret Service has further widened its investigation and is looking to see whether the agents hired prostitutes on other occasion
