Marla and Donald were married from 1993 to 1999. Marla and Tiffany, along with her boyfriend Ross Mechanic, were escorted by Secret Service to attend the fashion show of Chinese-based designer Wang Tao's Taoray Wang label.

A statement by Taoray Wang said that the cashmere pale pink and white coat and ivory wool crepe dress worn by Tiffany was designed by her, according to ABC news.

Tiffany has sported the designer's collection multiple times in the past on the campaign trail during the 2016's US elections and her father's inauguration day on January 21.

ABC news reports, Wang told the South China Morning Post that associating herself with the first daughter, who she described as a "wonderful young lady", has not hurt her. She added that she would rather "focus on personal qualities and characters, rather than labelling them".
