A terminal of the busy Newark Airport was temporarily closed following a bomb scare, while police was investigating a suspicious package reported by one of the passengers.

Federal investigating authorities who reached the scene immediately cleared the suspicious package.
The package was reported to be a computer monitor emitting a small amount of radiation.
TV footage showed a large number of emergency vehicles outside the terminal.
