Hayden during an interview said, "I would be incredibly concerned if a President Trump governed in a way that was consistent with the language that Candidate Trump expressed during the campaign," Wall Street Journal reported.

Republican presidential candidate Trump has promised that if he becomes the President, he would reinstate torture techniques like waterboarding against suspected terrorists and would do things which are “hell of a lot worse.”

Trump, during one of this campaigns, also said that after entering the White House, he would order the United States forces to kill the family members of terrorists. On this Hayden commented and said that the military will probably not obey these orders even if he became the President.

Hayden said, "You are required not to follow an unlawful order." He said that some of the proposals made by Trump would be "in violation of all the international laws of armed conflict.”
