She announced the tour during an appearance on the Rachael Ray Show on Wednesday, saying it will begin in a couple of weeks, the Politico reported.

"We're going to travel around the nation to visit some cities all across this country that are making important progress to try to highlight the good work that’s happening,” she said.

The First Lady did not detail the itinerary, but said that one stop will be in Mississippi, which was ranked one of the most unhealthy states in the nation a few years ago, but has now seen its childhood obesity rate decline by 13%.

Obama said that she plans to continue her work on "Let’s Move!" throughout her husband’s second term.

She embarked on a similar tour last year, spending three days hopscotching through Iowa, Arkansas, Texas and Florida to raise awareness.
