Michelle Obama has revealed that her family faced weight challenges when her daughters were younger and she took action to get them eating healthy and exercising.

The First Lady said in a Google Hangout on Monday that she never talked about weight in the household and the family just started making changes.

The 49-year-old said that she started surrounding her daughters, Malia and Sasha, with healthy foods, so they could make the right choices, and then tried to make physical activity fun, Politico reported.

Michelle said that she often turns on some music and works up a good sweat with her kids for about half an hour.
