After a wait of 35-long-years on a tarmac in Roswell, New Mexico, a private jet, once owned by Elvis Presley, got a new owner on May 27.

Presley?s jet, owned with his father, Vernon Presley, was sold for 4,30,000 dollars at a California event featuring celebrity memorabilia, according GWS Auctions Inc. Facebook post. However, the buyer is not disclosed yet.

Auctioneer Brigitte Kruse said the jet still has original woodwork, inlay, red velvet seats and red shag carpet and portions of the interior were custom designed to Elvis' specifications.

?It has attracted a lot of tourists in Roswell, and it still has the original woodwork, inlay, red velvet seats and red shag carpet. It has the potential to be fully restored and made the centerpiece of a major exhibit,? said Kruse.

But the red 1962 Lockheed Jetstar, privately owned over 35 years, has no engine and needs a restoration of its cockpit.
