Earthquake of magnitude 6.3 strikes South Pacific
The quake struck 100 kilometres northwest of the town of Isangel on the South Pacific island.
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.3 struck 100 kilometres northwest of the town of Isangel on the South Pacific island chain of Vanuatu, the US Geological Survey said on Tuesday.
The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometres, the USGS said.
