Chinese boss takes 6,400 staff on holiday to France, spends $14.5 million
The owner of the multinationl giant also booked arounf 7,600 train tickets on France's TGV train.
In a very generous gesture to his employees Chinese boss Li Jinyuan, owner of Tiens Group, took over 6,000 of his employees to a full-expense paid trip to France.
The billionaire booked around 140 hotels in Paris for his employees who were taken on a tour of Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, a trip to the Cote d'Azur and several other sites.The trip was organised to celebrate the company's twentieth anniversary.
The owner of the multinationl giant also booked arounf 7,600 train tickets on France's TGV trains to bring his employees to the south coast. In south coast, around 4,760 rooms were booked in five star hotels in Cannes and Monaco.
To signify the celebration of the company, the employees travelled to Nice and spelt out 'Tiens' dream is Nice in the Cote d'Azur', which was officially tagged as the "longest human-made phrase" by the Guinness World Records.
This group of Tiens company has also been termed as the single-largest group to ever visit France. The company was founded in 1995 by Li Jinyuan, who is the 24th richest person in China, according to Forbes, which estimates his wealth at $1.2 billion. The Tiens conglomerate operates in a range of sectors, including biotechnology, logistics, finance and property.
