CANBERRA: Australian police on Saturday searched the home of a foreign doctor in Perth in what is said to be a probe into alleged links between terrorism and overseas-trained doctors.

The Australian Federal Police and Western Australian Police have sealed the doctor's house in the western Perth suburb of Subiaco. State forensic officers have been removing material from the house for investigation.

The search comes in the wake of Indian doctor Muhammad Haneef being charged by Australian police for supporting a terrorist organisation by "recklessly" giving his mobile phone SIM card to people who planned the British bomb plot in the last week of June.
