Sixteen militants were killed today in clashes with security forces in the troubled Aurakzai tribal region in northwest Pakistan, where troops are conducting an offensive against pro-Taliban fighters.    Twelve militants were killed in retaliatory firing by troops after a group of rebels attacked Kalaya, a key town in Aurakzai Agency, official sources said.    Militants targeted troops with rockets during the attack.    Four more militants were killed in clashes with security forces in Feroz Khel area, the sources said.    Helicopter gunships also pounded militant positions in Anjani and Feroz Khel areas, the sources said.    Security forces have killed over 100 militants in Aurakzai Agency since a fresh offensive was launched in the region recently.
