TYRE, (Lebanon): At least 10 civilians were killed and 20 others wounded in an Israeli air strike on Sunday on the southern Lebanese port town of Tyre, hospital sources said.

An Israeli helicopter fired two missiles at the building, which had a Lebanese civil defence radar installation on its roof, police said.

US evacuates medical staff:
A Marine Corps helicopter carrying non-essential US embassy personnel and Americans with compelling medical needs left the US embassy grounds in Lebanon on Sunday bound for Cyprus, US officials said.

The flight took out about 20 people, including several with pre-existing medical conditions requiring such things as kidney dialysis, said Air Force Lt. Sharbe Clark, a spokeswoman for the US Central Command.
