A German historian has claimed that Adolf Hitler's father was authoritarian and he often used to beat Hitler when he was a child.
In a new disclosure, a German historian has claimed that Adolf Hitler's father was authoritarian and he often used to beat Hitler when he was a child and this had a lasting impact on Hitler. Roman Sandgruber, who is a professor emeritus at the University of Linz, made the claim after studying 31 letters written by Hitler's father Alois Hitler.
According to Sandgruber, many historians think that Alois as 'a simple peasant who only sat in the tavern and raised bees'. But Sandgruber added that Alois was a highly complicated and sinister character and he thought himself as being a 'know-it-all'.
Sandgruber said that Adolf Hitler's father Alois raised bees because he had ambitions of becoming a 'gentleman farmer'. He added that Sandgruber spent time in the tavern because that was where he could conduct politics.
Sandgruber said that Alois was domineering to his family and he badly infleunced Hitler, who was his second son.
Alois was born in 1837 in Strones, lower Austria. He was the illegitimate son of peasant woman Maria Schicklgruber.
