A person once asked Premanand Maharaj about his significant spending on the service of animals and birds, such as feeding bread to dogs, grains to birds, and caring for cows.
In response, Premanand Maharaj praised such acts, calling them very good.
He explained that service performed without ego leads to the attainment of God.
Maharaj emphasized that God resides in every living being, including animals and birds.
He advised against boasting about one’s virtues, as doing so diminishes the value of the service.
According to Maharaj, selfless and pure service is the true path to God.
He said that when offering service, one should not take pride in it but instead thank God for giving the opportunity to serve.
