Mars, also known as the Red planet, is the fourth planet from the Sun, and the seventh largest.
While photographing Mars, NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope captured a cameo appearance of the tiny moon Phobos on its trek around the Red Planet.
This beautiful image was taken on Nov. 3, 2008 by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
Mars has two small moons, Phobos and Deimos. This image of Phobos, was taken by NASA's HiRISE camera.
Deimos is about half as big as Phobos and orbits two and a half times farther away from Mars.
NASA Galileo and Mars Global Survey orbiters, captured this photo of Earth and Mars to allow viewers to gain a better understanding of the relative sizes of the two planets.
