On Sunday, October 6, Mayank Yadav, a debutant for India and a speedster for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) made a historic mark in the record books.
He became the third Indian bowler to bowl a maiden over in his T20I debut.
Mayank troubled the Bangladesh batters with his 145 kph+ pace.
Yadav delivered a fast-paced ball at 146.1 kph to the experienced Mahmudullah, who confidently advanced down the pitch but gave catch to fielder at deep point.
Mayank has made his way back to where he belongs following an injury that abruptly ended his first IPL season with LSG in 2024.
The fast bowler appeared in just four games during the tournament, picking up a total of 7 wickets.
His consistent ability to reach speeds exceeding 150 kmph caught the attention of the Indian selectors.
Now that Mayank has made his debut for India, he will no longer be considered an uncapped player for IPL retention purposes.
