Here’s a look at some of the actors who rejected the film 

Hrithik Roshan rejected the role of Siddharth in Dil Chahta hai for unknown reasons 

After Hrithik, Abhishek Bachchan was approached for the role but he also turned it down. 

Om Puri turned down the role of Shalini's uncle because he was very busy at the time and couldn't come for shooting.

Ameesha Patel was offered the role of Shalini, but she refused it due to scheduling conflicts. 

Isha Koppikar was first choice for Dil Chahta Hai, but she reportedly rejected the film due to scheduling issues. 

Manisha Koirala was offered Dimple Kapadia’s role but she rejected it without even reading the script

Farhan Akhtar also approached Shah Rukh Khan for the movie, but he turned down the offer.
