WATCH: Air India plane gets stuck under footbridge in Delhi

Air India has reportedly confirmed that the aircraft was not in service, and the scrapped plane had and sold by the airline.

A retired aircraft with the markings of national carrier Air India was caught of cam stuck beneath a footbridge on a read near the Delhi airport. The video of the massive airplane halted on the Delhi-Gurugram highway, with cars zooming past, went viral on social media.

Air India has reportedly confirmed that the aircraft was not in service, and the scrapped plane had and sold by the airline. The aircraft got stuck under the footbridge while its new owner was transporting it from the airport. The national carrier also confirmed that there was no mishap due to the event.

 

 

In the video, the aircraft has partially crossed the bridge but then gets stuck. Cars go zooming on the other side while the aircraft blocks a few lanes. The airport also does not have any wings and it appears only the fuselage is being transported.
