Viral video: Elderly couple reunite at care home after months, netizens are in tears

The COVID-19 pandemic has given people around the world enough reasons to cry. But here's a very touching tale that is sure to melt your hearts. A heartwarming video of an elderly British couple has gone viral on social media. While the couple was separated from each other for months due to the pandemic, the viral video is about them getting reunited after a really long time.

The video has gone viral on social media with more than 4 million views. As per BBC News, 89-year-old Mary Davis last saw her husband Gordon (68) eight months ago when he moved into a care home last year.

Gordon was unable to visit Mary due to lockdown restrictions and in February she moved into a different care home in Nottinghamshire, England. 

But another room was recently available at Mary's care home and Gordon decided to surprise her by moving there. The couple reunited this week and will now be living together.

Tears of joy trickled down Mary's face when she saw her husband after a long period of time. In the video, both Mary and Gordon can be seen abandoning their walking aids and embrace and kiss each other.

Mary can be seen crying out of happiness after seeing her husband after such a long time. The heart-warming video was captured by Baily House Care Home staff.

The video was posted by social media user Rex Chapman on Twitter. The user tweeted, "After not seeing his wife Mary for several months due to the pandemic Gordon decided to surprise her by moving into the assisted living home so they could be together."
