As Taliban aggressively advance in Afghanistan, a video has emerged of a Taliban fighter dancing and rejoicing in a captured office in one of the recently captured provinces.

Capturing one province after another, the outfit now controls two of the country’s biggest cities in Kandahar and Herat. Kandahar used to be Taliban’s capital during its five-year rule in Afghanistan between 1996 and 2001.

The video was shared on Twitter by Kabir Haqmal who is the former Programs Director and Spokesperson of the Afghanistan National Security Council. Haqmal wrote in his post, “New style governance. Taliban can only do this with a system, nothing else can be expected. Situation in all the fallen offices are same. Some parts of Afghanistan experience a quick reverse after the all efforts made during the past 20 years.” The video was viewed more than 108,000 times. Watch the video here:

Taliban has cornered the Afghanistan government since it started the offensive back in May 2021.

Yesterday, the Taliban claimed Ghazni, another major coup on the from Kandahar to Kabul at around 150 kilometres from the Afghan capital.

In another video shared by the outfit’s spokesperson Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, a fighter in Herat is seen saying, “As you can see, we are inside the Herat police headquarters right now.”

As per US intelligence, the Taliban could be less than a month away from besieging Kabul and could take control of the country in less than three months.
