Snake on a plane! Massive serpent on IndiGo flight shocks Kolkata airport -WATCH

A regular day on Kolkata Airport suddenly became a scene from the famous Samuel L Jackson-starrer Hollywood action film “Snakes on a Plane”. An IndiGo aircraft being readied to take off for Mumbai suddenly became a zone of panic when a large snake was spotted inside the aircraft.

Discovered by a baggage handler, the snake was wrapped around a pole inside the baggage compartment of the airplane.

As reported by TOI, the area was quickly cleared and airport authorities then contacted the forest department. The forest officials rescued the reptile and cleared the area for resuming operations.

Fortunately, most passengers had not boarded the flight, which ensured there wasn’t widespread panic. The IndiGo flight had reportedly arrived at Kolkata airport from Raipur.

Due to the unforeseen event, the passengers of the IndiGo flight had to be boarded on another plane and flown to Mumbai.

The serpent has since being confirmed as a non-poisonous rat snake. Airport authorities believe the snake made its was into the area earlier when the luggage for the Raipur-Kolkata passengers was being unloaded at the Airport. Check out a tweet with the video of the snake here:
