VIRAL
Both famished and astonished, the customer shared a pic holding a single, whole potato in front of an empty packet of chips.
To boost sales, snack companies frequently include something unique or additional in their packages, such as a unique ingredient, flavour, or toy. However, a peculiar incident occurred recently where a customer discovered a whole potato instead of the snack in a packet of chips. That's right, you read that correctly.
Dr. David Boyce, a physics teacher in from the United Kingdom, was astonished when he found a half-peeled raw potato in his packet instead of the chips. He shared a photo of the bizarre snack pack on Twitter with the caption “So I opened a bag of Kettle Chips UK today to find no crisps. Just a whole potato.” Needless to say, the fail story quickly went viral.
The pic shows a bag of Mature Cheddar and Red Onion flavoured chips from the brand Kettle Chips UK. In front of the packet, the man is seen holding a single potato in the photo. After the unexpected yet unique finding, he was both famished and in astonishment.

The photograph went viral on social media, garnering over 500 likes and expressing a variety of comments from internet users. Even the snack company Kettle Chips responded, asking the individual to submit a direct message to them.
“Not sure how that got in there! Do you mind sending us a DM so we can gather some details and ask our team to look into this?” the company commented.

The unsatisfied customer responded, “Yeah I still have it! It was so unexpected. You can have it if you like!”
The customer revealed his first reaction when he found the raw potato instead of thin sliced of baked chips to a local news station, "My mind went completely blank. At first, I thought 'How is this even in here?' and then I thought 'what a champion, this little guy is a survivor - the little potato that refused to be a crisp.”
A crisp is another name for chips or wafers, widely used in the UK.
