Reliance Foundation Scholarships support meritorious undergraduate students with financial aid to empower their academic and professional growth.
The Ambani family often makes headlines for their wealth and luxurious lifestyle, but their philanthropic efforts deserve just as much attention. Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, through the Reliance Foundation, have been actively contributing to society, helping improve the lives of countless people across India. One of their standout initiatives is the Reliance Foundation Scholarships, a program aimed at empowering talented students by supporting their higher education dreams.
About the Scholarship Program
The Reliance Foundation Scholarships were introduced to commemorate the 92nd birth anniversary of Dhirubhai Ambani, the visionary founder of Reliance Industries. For the academic year 2024-25, the Foundation has selected 5,000 undergraduate students from across the country to receive financial assistance under this program. These students were chosen from over 100,000 applications, highlighting the program's popularity among young learners.
The scholarship provides up to Rs 2 lakh per student, offering substantial support to help them excel in their academic pursuits. This initiative encourages deserving students to aim higher and build promising careers, irrespective of their financial constraints.
Eligibility Criteria
The Reliance Foundation Scholarship is open to students from all fields of study who meet specific criteria:
The applicant must be enrolled in the first year of undergraduate studies for the academic session 2024-25.
Their household income must be below Rs 15 lakh per year.
Special consideration is given to female applicants and specially-abled students, emphasizing inclusivity.
By setting these criteria, the program ensures that help reaches those who genuinely need it, fostering a more equitable educational environment.
Supporting India's Youth
Nita Ambani, the chairperson and founder of the Reliance Foundation, has been a driving force behind the group’s social initiatives. Through various programs like these scholarships, the Foundation has touched the lives of thousands of children, empowering them to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
This scholarship not only provides financial aid but also inspires students to emerge as young professionals, contributing to India's growth story. For eligible students, this is a golden opportunity to secure support for their educational journey and carve a brighter future.
