In an attempt to overcome loneliness, a Bengaluru resident shared on social media a recent encounter she had with a Microsoft techie who worked as an auto rickshaw driver on the weekends. It has prompted discussions and raised eyebrows, with many people wondering about the depressing situation that most professionals are in.
Alot of X users chimed in with the post. One of the user wrote, As the tech industry grows, so does the phenomenon of loneliness among professionals. A hidden truth: sometimes, the most advanced technology can’t replace human interaction. Another user wrote, "35 year old & alone... So it's definitely a problem. But moonlighting is not good."

Nishtha, a media professional said, “It may surprise some, but I get why the person opted to drive an auto on weekends. I’m 30 and I am single. I absolutely dread spending time at my flat all by myself. The isolation, the negative thoughts and the mundaneness of it all bothers me to no end. Loneliness can be overwhelming to deal with," as reported by Times Now.
It's obvious that some professionals understand the man and respect his choice to work as an auto driver part-time in order to combat his blues. Even though the techie is highly qualified and drives an automobile on the weekends, there's no reason why anyone should judge them for it. However, working professionals need to know how to cope with feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Professionals need to dedicate their time to developing deep relationships at work. Occasionally they may have trouble explaining to friends or family the challenges they face at work. It is always beneficial in these situations to have a support network at work. Furthermore, the majority of us spend a significant portion of our days at work, which is another reason it's important for us to surround ourselves with positive people.
