The Mumbai local train services resumed on Monday (February 1) after 11 months and a picture that has now gone viral on Twitter shows where the heart of a Mumbaiker lies.

In the viral photo, a man can be seen bowing down before boarding the Mumbai local train. The photo captioned "A click that touched my heart, a commuter worshipping Mumbai Local before boarding after 11 months," has got 36,500 likes and around 3,900 retweets.

The photo has also been reposted by Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra where he said, "The soul of India... I pray we never lose it....".

The viral photo has captured the hearts of twitteratis where many wrote that only those who have lived in Mumbai would understand this. "That's the reason why local is called lifeline of Mumbai," a user wrote in the comments section.

Another user added,"This is called Thanksgiving or Gratitude. This is what Indian culture is. Indian culture shows gratitude for each and every particle of this universe. Thanks for this pic."

"We are attached to our daily local trains and meet our friends," wrote another user.

The suburban train services, with a daily footfall of more than 7.5 million people, were suspended on the midnight of March 22, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Barring a few brief interruptions the suspension was the first in many decades.
