Videos of animals, pet or wild, is a rage on social media today. From lions and tigers to elephants and rhinos, while many pleasant interactions melt our hearts, others are hair-raising. Some can end up in catastrophe for the person behind the lens. One such video recently surfaced on Twitter where a man’s encounter with a wild pig ends up disastrous for him.

The wild beast in the small 28-second clip is called a warthog, which is a kind of wild pig native to the continent of Africa. The origins of the video are not confirmed but the clip was retweeted by multiple handles on Twitter.

In the video, the man is seeing playfully baiting the warthog, calling it towards him. The man is heard saying, “Hello, boy!”.

As the massive wild pig with big horns slowly inches forward near, he says, “I wonder if we can pet him? Hi boy!”

But just when it reaches near enough, instead of letting him pet it the warthog unleashes itself on the poor man.

Hell breaks loose and the camera records in chaos as the man cries, “Help me… help, help.”

The video will surely give you goosebumps.

Hours after the video surfaced on Twitter, Pumbaa started to trend on Twitter. Pumbaa is the name of the iconic warthog cartoon character part of the hit 1994 Disney animated movie Lion King.

It is clear from the video that these wild pigs are not animals you can be friendly with. Unfortunately, the man in the video found it out the hard way.
