Munna Pal, the orchestra owner and a witness to their journey, shared that the couple initially faced a setback when their request for marriage at the Dirgeshwarnath temple was denied a few days before their eventual ceremony. Mahant Jagannath Maharaj, citing the lack of permission from higher authorities in the district, turned them away, leaving the couple undeterred in their pursuit of happiness.

Refusing to let obstacles dampen their spirits, Jayashree and Rakhi, along with their supporters, took an alternative route. They obtained a notarized affidavit for their marriage and proceeded to the Bhagada Bhawani temple in Majhauliraj. In the presence of the temple priest, the couple joyfully exchanged garlands, solidifying their commitment to each other.

The couple's perseverance and determination were reflected in a post-wedding statement where they recounted the beginnings of their love story and the challenges they faced. Despite encountering adversity, their love prevailed, reinforcing their dedication to one another.
