Elon Musk's source of inspiration for space exploration is 'philosophical', netizens applaud his reply

So what inspires Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk his love for space? During the two-day event called 'Italian Techweek', Musk answers this question in an interview. In this interview, Musk not just speaks about SpaceX but also talks about what inspires his love for space. 

A small clip from this interview has now gone viral on social media where Elon Musk is seen talking about what inspires his love for space. When asked what inspires him, Elon Musk replied his source of inspiration for space exploration is somewhat philosophical.

"The source of my inspiration is somewhat philosophical. The thing we should be aiming for is to increase the scope and scale of human civilization so as to best ask the right questions for the answer which is reality or the universe. We should work to ensure the survival and long-term prosperity of humanity," he said.

Musk added, "We should seek to extend our consciousness beyond Earth to other planets and star systems. That is basically the nature of my philosophy." Elon Musk's reply has been applauded by netizens and space enthusiasts are in awe of the billionaire's source of inspiration.

Elon Musk's SpaceX launched the first-ever all-civilian crew, Inspiration 4, which reached space on September 16 and they safely made their way back to Earth on September 18.

Meanwhile, Microsoft founder Bill Gates has taken a jibe at billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and others for their obsession with space travel. Gates made the remarks during an interview with James Corden.
