The couple came up with a unique solution to make up for the cost of a wedding dinner for the guests who did not show up.
Weddings often mean a good dinner for most of us, don't you agree? A lot of wedding preparations include preparing food for guests, make their sitting arrangements, so that no one faces any problem in the event, and enjoys the wedding.
However, many times guests don't turn up, especially during the times of coronavirus pandemic and wedding preparations cost a fortune. Some people even shell out a maximum of their life savings to organise the whole wedding, and when some guests don't RSVP, it becomes quite upsetting.
In one such scenario, the wedding couple decided not to let go of the guests who did not turn up and did something, one would have never thought. They came up with a unique solution to make up for the cost of a wedding dinner for the guests who did not show up.
They sent created an invoice and sent it to 'no show' guests. The invoice had the payment due to $240 (Rs. 17,700 and was titled, 'No call, no show guest.'
The invoice was shared on Twitter by Philip Lewis, who wrote, "I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wedding reception invoice before.”
The invoice said that the wedding took place at the Royalton Negril, a resort in Jamaica's Negril. The invoice mentioned the 'Unit Price' of $120 per wedding reception dinner. As two guests did not show in the mentioned invoice, so the total cost was $240. The invoice, dated August 18, had a one-month deadline to pay the amount.

The invoice said, “This invoice is being sent to you because you confirmed seat(s) at the wedding reception during the Final Headcount. The amount above is the cost of your individual seats. Because you didn’t call or give us proper notice that you wouldn’t be in attendance, this amount is what you owe us for paying your seat(s) in advance. You can pay via Zelle or PayPal. Please reach out to us and let us know which method of payment works for you. Thank you!”
