Though food delivery applications have made life easier for millions of users, they sometimes leave customers annoyed and cranky due to untimely deliveries and other mishaps. Another such incident happened with a well-known actor, who in turn got trolled for his complaints.

Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee took to Twitter on November 6, publically voiced out his concerns about food delivery apps and their delay in delivering the food at times. He wrote an open letter and posted it on his Twitter handle, complaining about a delay in one of his orders through Swiggy.

While the complaint put forward by Prosenjit seemed pretty standard for someone disappointed in the service of an app, what’s bizarre is that he tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in this letter, asking them to rectify this issue immediately.

Addressing the letter to PM Modi and CM Banerjee, Prosenjit wrote, “I want to draw your attention to an issue I have recently faced. On 3rd November, I placed an order on the food delivery app Swiggy. After some time, the status of the order changed to delivered but I never received the food. After raising the issue with Swiggy, they refunded me the money since the order was prepaid.”

He further went on to say in the letter that anyone can face these issues and asked what is one supposed to do if they depend on these services for their dinner. Will they stay hungry, he further asked, asking both the political leaders to look into the matter.

His move to tag PM Modi and CM Mamata Banerjee got him brutally trolled by Twitter users, who ridiculed his issues, stating that he was “privileged” and both the political leaders had much more important issues concerning the nation to tend to, rather than his Swiggy complaint.

One Twitter user wrote, “Baapre wish I could be as privileged and self-important to lodge my customer care complaint to PM and CM.” Another user mockingly wrote, “Shame to those who are mocking you for tagging cm and PM. I further want to say that this is not a national problem but an international one. UN should take note.”
