1.Maha Kumbh history in Hindu Mythology

According to the legend of Samudra Manthan, Lord Vishnu obtained a golden pitcher containing the nectar of immortality from the demons. During this event, a few drops of the nectar fell to Earth, landing at the sites of present-day Prayagraj, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. These locations subsequently became the four cities that host the Kumbh Mela on a rotational basis.
2.Kumbh Mela’s Role in the Indian Freedom Movement

During British rule in India, the Kumbh Mela served as a platform for freedom fighters to promote nationalist ideals. Prominent leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, and members of the Swadeshi League took advantage of the large gathering to disseminate their message to the public.

The Kumbh Mela has been designated by UNESCO as an "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity," highlighting its global significance and cultural value.
4.Maha Kumbh uses higher technology- From AI Cameras to Underwater Drones

Each year, officials incorporate various technologies to enhance the festival experience. For the first time this year, underwater drones with a diving capacity of up to 100 meters have been introduced to provide continuous surveillance at the Sangam area. In addition, tethered drones, with the ability to reach altitudes of up to 120 meters, will assist in monitoring crowd movements and identifying locations that may need medical or security intervention.
5.Massive revenue generated with every Maha Kumbh for Uttar Pradesh

The Mela is expected to generate substantial revenue for the state of Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, it is projected to contribute Rs 2 lakh crore in revenue, as an estimated 40 million people gather in Prayagraj.
