Installing AC in your house? Roof or balcony, know where compressor should be placed

As soon as the summer season begins, people start using air conditioners extensively to get relief from the scorching heat.

If you’ve just bought an AC or are planning to get one installed, hold on for a moment and find out the right place to keep the AC compressor — balcony or rooftop.

If the compressor is not placed in the right spot, it can reduce the AC’s cooling efficiency. In fact, placing it incorrectly in high heat can even cause the compressor to burst.

If you place the compressor in direct sunlight, it can reduce its lifespan. And if it overheats too much, it might even explode.

The compressor should ideally be placed in a shaded area. This not only extends its lifespan but also helps deliver better cooling.
