In Pics: YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra aka ‘Travel with Jo’ arrested for allegedly sharing information with Pakistan

Jyoti Malhotra is a popular travel vlogger from Haryana, known for her YouTube channel 'Travel with Jo' (3.77 lakh subscribers) and Instagram handle 'travelwithjo1' (1.32 lakh followers), where she shares videos of her trips across India and abroad.

She was arrested along with six others for allegedly spying and sharing sensitive information with Pakistani agents. She’s accused of being part of a wider espionage network.

Malhotra had posted several videos from her visits to Pakistan in 2023, including places like Lahore, Katas Raj Temple, and Anarkali Bazaar. Her posts, seen as unusually positive about Pakistan, raised red flags.

During her first trip to Pakistan, she met Ehsan-ur-Rahim (alias Danish), a Pakistan High Commission official in Delhi. He introduced her to Pakistani intelligence agents. Ehsan was later expelled from India on May 13, 2025.

After returning, Jyoti allegedly kept in touch with Pakistani handlers through WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat. She saved their contacts under fake names like 'Jatt Randhawa' to avoid suspicion.

Investigators claim she traveled to Pakistan three times, visited Bali with a Pakistani operative, and developed a personal relationship with one of them. She is suspected to be part of a bigger spy ring operating in Haryana and Punjab.
