Five beautiful islands, including Maldives and Fiji, may disappear in water before end of this century, here's why

Scientists have claimed that these islands will be submerged in water in less than 60 years and this will happen only due to global warming.

In the 40s, American scientist Beno Gutenberg was doing a study when he suspected that the water in the sea was rising. To confirm his suspicion, Gutenberg studied the data of the last 100 years and his suspicion turned into a belief. Water level in sea is increasing continuously due to the melting of polar ice. In the 90s, this was confirmed by NASA too. Since then, the discussion on other threats of global warming intensified across the world. 

World Bank and several other institutions have expressed fear that Maldives may submerge in water by the end of 2100 due to the rapid increase in sea water.

Fiji, which is made up of beautiful beaches, is an island nation located in the South Pacific Ocean. Fiji is home to several Indians but it is feared that this beautiful country will also submerge in the water in future due to rising sea level.

Palau, an island country located in the Pacific Ocean, is also on the verge of submerging in the sea due to rising water level. According to Palau National Weather Service Office and the Pacific Climate Change Service Program the sea water here has been rising by about 0.35 inches every year since 1993.

According to a report in Reader's Digest, Riposolomon Island is located in South Pacific Ocean and it is made up of about 1000 islands, which are now submerging in water.
