Kapil reveals th aftermath of his fall-out with Sunil...
The popular comedian-turned-actor Kapil Sharma is finally back to tickle you bones with his second Bollywood film titled Firangi, after his much loved TV show - The Kapil Sharma Show went off air. Post his infamous mid-air fall out with colleague and friend Sunil Grover on a flight back from Australia, things started going downhill for Kapil and his show.
Kapil had to cancel the shooting of episodes with superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and others. Rumours about his unprofessionalism had gained momentum and the show's TRPs started declining. Soon after that, the show was pulled down.
Now, speaking about the aftermath of his spat with Sunil Grover at the trailer launch event of Firangi, Kapil Sharma admitted that he felt so helpless and depressed that he even wanted to commit suicide at one point of time. He revealed that he had taken to excessive drinking and would also seclude himself from others. A MidDay report quoted him as saying, "One of my close friends asked me to shift to his seaside apartment. He thought a change of scene would be good for me. As I saw the wide expanse of sea from his balcony, I felt like jumping into it. I was depressed; it felt like the world was gunning for me.”
Kapil also shared how he became extremely vulnerable and had frequent panic attacks due to which he couldn't step on stage to perform. Hence, he would cancel his shoot. "I suffered from anxiety and drank myself silly. I would stay locked up in the office with my pet dog. People stopped coming on the show and I went off the radar,” he said.
All said and done, we're glad that Kapil is back to entertain us, this time on the big screen.
