Scoop: Is 'Naagin' slithering to a different TV channel for season 3?

Looks like the third season of Ekta Kapoor's popular TV show Naagin may find a new home. If the latest buzz is anything to go by, then Naagin 3 may be aired on a new TV channel.

After having a successful run in its past two seasons, popular Television show Naagin is all set to be back at the small screens pretty soon but it may not be aired on the same channel as the its orevious two seasons. A report on SpotboyE suggests that Naagin 3 will not be aired on Colors channel, but will instead go on air on Star Plus. 

A source was quoted as saying by the portal, "Naagin is an interesting series and has helped Colors in terms of cementing its position as one of the top channels. However, Star Plus bid higher for the third season and therefore managed to clinch the supernatural show.”

Earlier, at the launch the the web series Haq Se, Ekta had shared that she's meeting the channel Colors over matters of the money quite frequently. The report further suggests that Ekta wanted the channel to increase the cost of the show since th budget of the third season of Naagin is comparatively higher as the special effects that are used have also added to the total cost. Apparently, it was becoming increasingly difficult for Balaji to back the show in that amount of money.

The source further informed, "Star is planning to revamp the channel and wants to include a number of fiction shows. Goes without saying, Naagin 3 is a great catch and they bid such a price that it closed doors for Colors.”

Meanwhile, since Mouni Roy won't be seen in Naagin 3, speculations are rife that thsi time, KArishma Tanna, Anita Hassanandani and Surbhi Jyoti may be seen as the new Naagins in season 3. Let's wait and watch for the drama to unfold
