Punjab Cabinet Minister and TV presenter Navjot Singh Sidhu has come under fire for his comments on the Pulwama terror attack. It was recently reported that he has been replaced by Archana Purana Singh on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' because of the severe backlash on social media.

Now a latest report by DB post has claimed that it was Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, the producer of the show, who asked Navjot Singh Sidhu to step down as the judge. The actor didn't want the show's ratings to be affected for the sake of one person. Sidhu won't be shooting the next few episodes, the report stated. The final decision on his termination has currently been put on hold.

"When this entire controversy happened; the channel was still not sure on what decision to make. It was the producer of the show, Salman Khan’s immediate decision to ask Sidhu to step down from the show. Obviously, as a producer, Salman did not want to take a chance especially when so much money has been involved in its production. The show is doing well in terms of TRP and Salman doesn’t want to lose it just for the sake of one person. And so, he decided to take a call immediately," a source told DB Post.

At the moment, Salman has advised the channel to let the matter cool down before they make any official announcement. They haven't yet ruled out the possibility of him returning back.
