Actor Pearl V Puri’s arrest in rape case of a minor has shocked his fans and friends. While many have come out in support of the actor including TV celebs like Ekta Kapoor, Anita Hassanandani, Surbhi Jyoti and Arjun Bijlani, Nia Sharma among others who are calling the charges false and baseless, there is a section of people who believe that all evidence points towards the actor being guilty.

On June 5, producer and a friend of Pearl V Puri, Ekta Kapoor took to her Instagram to show support for the actor and said she has voice notes of the victim's mother proving rape charges against Pearl V. Puri are false.

People in support of the actor have demanded justice for him.

One user wrote, “Yet another example that how easy is it get trapped into #FalseCase,”

People who think that Pearl is guilty of the crime have been sharing DCP, Sanjay Kumar Patil’s video wherein he says that there is evidence against the actor for rape.

One user wrote, "I know him, he can't do it" is the most baseless thing you could say. You never know what's inside a person until they choose to show it to you. Celebs can really take a back seat in this, until the judgement is out and both sides are heard.

Another user said, “The problem with women posting photos with an abuser and providing their character certificates is that the same man could be nice to you and not nice to someone who is vulnerable or someone who he thinks is beneath him.  It isn't so hard to understand, is it?"

Here is the video of Mumbai Police DCP where he said that the accusations against Pearl are not false.

Pearl V Puri was was arrested on Friday ,June 4, by the Waliv and Mumbai police on charges of raping a minor girl. As per the Mumbai Police, a case has been registered against him under Section 376 of IPC and POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act 4, 8, 12, 19 and 21.
