Maisie Williams has played Arya Stark for the seven seasons of 'Game of Thrones' so far.
Maisie Williams is one of the few original cast members to have reached the final series of Game of Thrones. She has been tackling the role of Arya Stark since the age of 12 when the show premiered in 2011. Her character is one of the fan-favourites and in the wake of Game of Thrones ending after the eighth season, they and the star herself is going to miss working on it.
Talking during an ITV interview, Williams revealed that it will be difficult to bid goodbye to the show. "It's nerve-racking because it's been my safety blanket," she said.
Williams revealed that she juggled school and filming for the show and that felt like living a double life to her.
"I juggled school and filming at the same time for awhile, but as I went through school and my GCSEs, my character only got bigger and bigger, so I was home-schooled for a little while.
"When I was younger, I had a job and I was working, but I was very young. But as I got older, my friends started working, so I didn't see (my job) as any different to them," The New Mutants star revealed.
Talking about filming for the last season of Game of Thrones, she said that even though the show has been her entire career so far, it will be exciting to know that there is an opportunity to shake up and do what she wants to.
Williams is currently promoting her animated feature Early Man that also stars Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston. Later in the year, she will be seen as one of the X-Men in The New Mutants.
