At the launch event of the show, Sudesh reacted on reports of comparisons between The Drama Company and The Kapil Sharma Show. He said, "At times, we feel two things might be the same. Comparisons are inevitable. See, people assumed that Dangal and Sultan would be the same as they revolve around wrestling but the content was so different. The Drama Company is unique as it has presenting skits. But comparisons are done by public and they have to see it first.” However, Sudesh completely avoided commenting on Kapil's mid-air fight with Sunil Grover, saying that he wasn't a part of it.

The Drama Company will see some ex members of Kapil's show like Ali Asgar, Sugandha Mishra and Dr Sanket Bhosle. Sudesh has earlier been a part of Comedy Nights Bachao and Comedy Nights Live. The comedian is excited about working with Mithun Chakraborty. He expressed his excitement saying, "“I have been a fan throughout. I never dreamed that I would share stage and work with him. He is a real joy.”
