KBC 12: Can you answer the Rs 7 crore jackpot question that Anupa Das, season's third crorepati, quit?

A humble teacher, Anupa Das became the third crorepati this season and the third woman in a row to win Rs 1 crore on KBC 12.

Anupa Das, 42, a humble teacher who hails from Jagdalpur, Bastar in Chhatisgarh, created history on Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 (KBC 12) after becoming the third crorepati in the current season of the Amitabh Bachchan hosted show. 

After having played a fabulous game with utmost confidence, Anupa eventually quit the show on Rs 7 crore jackpot question which she did not have the answer to, and so took home a winning amount of Rs 1 crore. 

The Rs. 7 crore question which she failed to answer was - In One Day International cricket, which team have Riaz Poonawala and Shaukat Dukanwala represented?

The options for the question were -


A) Kenya 

B) United Arab Emirates

C) Canada

D) Iran

Unsure of the answer, Anupa quit the show since she had no lifelines to take help from. After quitting, as per the ritual, Amitabh Bachchan asked Anupa to guess an answer. She picked option B and it was the right answer. But, since Anupa had quit the show, it really didn't matter if she answered it correctly or not. The prize money that she was to take home was Rs 1 crore.

The correct answer to the question was- B) United Arab Emirates

Earlier, the Rs 1 crore question that Anupa correctly answered to win the prize money was-  Who was awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery on 18 November 1962 at Rezang La in Ladakh?

The options to the question were: 

A) Major Dhan Singh Thapa

B) Lt Col Ardeshir Tarapore

C) Subedar Joginder Singh

D) Major Shaitan Singh

The correct answer was - D) Major Shaitan Singh

Earlier, IPS officer Mohita Sharma crossed a milestone by becoming the first civil servant to become a crorepati on the show. She was the second crorepati on KBC 12 after Nazia Nasim won Rs 1 crore just a week before her. 

The Rs. 7 crore question which Mohita failed to answer was - Launched in 1817, which of these ships built by the Wadia group in Bombay is the oldest British warship still afloat?

While the options for the question were: 


A) HMS Minden

B) HMS Cornwallis

C) HMS Trincomalee

D) HMS Meanee

The right answer to the question was - C) HMS Trincomalee.

While Mohita and Anupa became the second and third crorepati on KBC 12 respectively, it was Nazia Nazim, an Indian Institute of Mass Communication alumna, who works as a Group Manager of Internal Communications at Royal Enfield, who created history on the show by becoming the first crorepati and taking home the prize money of Rs 1 crore.
