It seems like the former cricketers -- Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag, and host Amitabh Bachchan had a great time on KBC 13.
Kaun Banega Crorepati's new promo revealing the first celebrity guests on the popular game show is out. This time, not Bollywood celebrities, but former cricket stars Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag will be the first guests on the show, hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
The promo shared on Sony Entertainment Television's Instagram handle began with the host Amitabh Bachchan questioning Virender about his peculiar habit to sing while on the field. In response, Virender is seen and heard singing a line from the popular track 'Chala Jaata Hoon' and making a gesture of hitting the ball with a bat as he sang and lightened up the atmosphere. Amitabh Bachchan is then heard asking Virender what Bollywood number would fit the situation if he missed a catch? To this Virender Sehwag gave a hilarious response while teasing Sourav Ganguly. He said that if Greg Chappell was the coach in this situation, there would have been just one song that would fit the situation and then he sang "Apni toh jaise taise kat jayegi (We will manage somehow)," and then pointed toward Sourav Ganguly and continued, "Aapka kya hoga janaab-e-ali (But what will you do, sir)?" Virender's song and actions left both Amitabh and Sourav in splits.
For the uninitiated, Sourav Ganguly was the captain of the Indian cricket team when Greg Chappell was the coach. While Greg was appointed as the coach on Sourav's recommendation, the infighting among them was one of the reasons why Sourav had to give up his captainship.
As the two continued to converse, Amitabh then went onto asking Virender what if his team won against Pakistan/Australia. The latter quickly responded that there is a dialogue from a Hindi film featuring the megastar himself...Virender said, "Shahenshah movie ka ek bada famous dialogue hai (There is a famous line from Shahenshah)," and Amitabh recited it, "Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hai (I am your father)…" The cricketer laughed and said, "Hum toh baap hai hi unke (We really are their fathers)."
