'KBC 13': From addressing body shaming to a female police cop contestant, Amitabh Bachchan's show focuses on women power

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is a quiz-based show that features people from all walks of life from across the country. It also talks about several taboos and social problems. Today’s episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 13’ was all about women power and featured two different women from totally different professions but headstrong in life.

The first contestant was a school teacher from Orissa, Cuttack named Swati Shrilekha who is a fan of Aamir Khan and loves to eat. During the show, Swati opened up about how she faced trouble finding a husband for herself. She said people have even asked her about her weight during marriage proposals. 

Swati had a message for all the girls out there. She said that women should marry men who connect with them and not who ask them about their income of weight. In a sweet gesture, the ‘KBC 13’ team got Swati her favourite snack, samosas, which she relished with joy. The bubbly contestant ended up taking a prize of Rs 6.4 lakhs and in elation said that this was the first time she would have savings of lakhs in her bank account.

The second contestant on the show was a female police officer, Nimisha. After scoring the top place in the fastest finger first, Nimisha was overjoyed and couldn’t control her tears. Not only her, but Nimisha’s husband also got emotional for her feat.

A resident of Madhya Pradesh, Nimisha gives training to navrakshaks and even her father served in the army. Seeing her father in uniform, gave Nimisha the motivation to serve the country. A little while after she started, the hooter was played and she will continue tomorrow. By the end of the show, Nimisha had used two of her lifelines.

Meanwhile, in an interaction with india.com, Swati talked about not being able to answer the question for Rs 12.5 lakhs and what will she do with the prize money.

“Main nervous ho gayi thi (I was so nervous then). It was a whole tornado of excitement and nervousness. I didn’t want to take risks. Mujhe pata tha answer galat hoga. Meri zindagi mein paison ki bahot ahmiyat hai (I somewhere knew I was could not be right with the answer. Money is really important in my life.) I will save a large portion of this prize money for future plans. I will keep it for medical emergencies for my parents and family. A little portion of the money will be used for the renovation of the house,” she said.
