From the last few days, Sasural Simar Ka actors Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim's desi wedding has been winning our hearts. The duo got hitched as per traditional Muslim rituals in a private ceremony on February 22 in Bhopal.
With their haldi, mehendi, sangeet and nikah ceremonies being so beautiful, Dipika and Shoaib hosted a grand reception on February 26 in Mumbai. And we must say, the couple looked every bit royal. Dipika, who essayed the protagonist in daily soap Sasural Simar Ka looked drop-dead-gorgeous in her reception attire as she wore a golden full sleeved gown with minimal jewellery and let her hair down. On the other hand, Shoaib, who played Simar's husband Prem in the show, nonetheless made for a very handsome groom in red and gold sherwani with a golden shawl.
While their wedding was a low-key affair, the reception was star-studded. Apart from Sharad Kelkar and Keerti Kelkar, Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee, Ratan Raajputh, Arti Singh, Pankaj Dheer, the couple’s Nach Baliye co-contestants Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal, and newly-weds Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, graced the ceremony.

Prior to the wedding, their Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies too took place with desi swag and enthusiasm. The Indian Express quoted a source as saying, "Shoaib and Dipika, both wanted a very personalised affair. Being quite private people, they chose to have the ceremonies in Bhopal to avoid the constant media attention. Also, with Shoaib's family residing there, it helped them in organising a grand yet a close-knit wedding."
