BBC teased the fans of Doctor Who with a new footage of season 11 of the show during the FIFA World Cup 2018 final last Sunday. This time along with their panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the showrunners unveiled a 40-seconds-long teaser giving first ever glimpse in the universe of the Time Lord played by Jodie Whittaker.

Chris Chibnall of Broadchurch fame took charge of the sci-fi show when Steven Moffat and Peter Capaldi, who played the last Time Lord, announced their departure from the show before the broadcast of season 10. Chibnall, in a groundbreaking move, brought Jodie Whittaker to play the first ever female Doctor on the show.

The latest teaser shows that the Doctor will be embarking on a new journey with three companions instead of the standard one person so far. With exception of Matt Smith maybe. His Doctor had Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill).

"All of this is new to me. New face, new time, new worlds. So if I asked really really nicely, would you be my new best friends?" we hear the Time Lord ask her future companions.

We see the quartet embark on many adventures in the brisk montage. The Doctor is accompanied by Graham, Ryan, and Yasmin, her new 'friends.' As the teaser comes to end, Doctor says, "Right? This is going to be fun!"

Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill play the new companions in season 11 of Doctor Who.

The showrunners also released two promotional posters which closely resemble a comic book artwork.

These posters give us first look at the new Sonic Screwdriver of the Doctor. But there is still no sign of Tardis.

Sharon D Clarke, Lee Mack and Alan Cumming have also signed on to appear in recurring guest roles for the series.
