'Game of Thrones': 'Ramsay Bolton' Iwan Rheon calls abuse scene with 'Sansa' Sophie Turner 'worst day of his career'

'Game of Thrones' is one of the web shows remembered for its rough content. One character - of Ramsay Bolton - was shown as the roughest on the show. He actually showed no mercy. From cutting off male parts, to r*ping his own wife, the character was cruel to the T.

Iwan Rheon, who played the character of Ramsay Bolton, has now opened up about his rough scene with Sansa Stark, played by Sophie Turner. He called it the 'worst day of his career'.

"It was the worst day of my career," he recalled in an interview with Metro UK.

"That was horrible - nobody wanted to be there. Nobody wants to do that, but if it’s telling a story then you have to tell it truthfully," he said.

Stating that it was extremely hard for him to even watch the scene, Iwan added, "They didn’t sensationalise it or anything... [but] it was very, very hard watching. It’s a horrible thing that happens, unfortunately, and it shouldn’t be."

In the nearby episodes, Ramsay had tortured Theon Greyjoy, played by Alfie Allen. Ramsay had even cut out Theon's male genelia before the scene with Sansa.

Talking about it, Iwan continued, "Chopping someone’s finger off you don’t really see it, and when you’re doing like a close up, it’s a piece of plastic. We’re just acting, it’s not real."

Speaking about the contrast - the horrific scene with Sansa Stark - he then mentioned, "Then something like that where you’re in the actual reality of the situation is very difficult to deal with. It was a horrible, horrible day."

The show progressed in a way that the torture by Ramsay brought Sansa and Theon closer than ever. He got an opportunity to prove his loyalty to the Starks again after the incident.
