After a long run and wait, Dipika Kakar finally bagged the Bigg Boss 12 trophy, leaving runner-up who she touted as her brother, Sreesanth, behind.

Deepak Thakur, a commoner, was the third runner-up, who left the house with 20 lakhs of prize money, which was deducted from Dipika’s prize money. Hence she received the trophy and an amount of 30 lakhs.

Her journey through the Bigg Boss house was accepted by a few and yet rejected by a few as well. Some contestants called her names, and blamed her for trying to create strategies, but those strategies (or not) eventually worked in her favour.

Ex-contestant Arshi Khan was not very happy with her win though. When we asked her to comment on Dipika Kakar taking the trophy home, she said, “Sressanth actually is the real winner of this season in my eyes, and actually I was rooting for him only, but Deepika, the worst winner all I can say.”

While Arshi was disappointed with the win, Manu Punjabi seemed to be supportive of Dipika even now. He said, “She won smoothly. People did a lot of good and bad deeds, but she never got into fights or did bitching or plotting. She was a clean chit and deserved to be the smooth winner. That is the result of patience.”

Post her win, Dipika Kakar’s husband Shoaib Ibrahim picked her up in his arms and escorted her outside the sets, just like he got her in the house.
