Amidst strong speculations about Disha Vakani's return to 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', the actress has now posted a picture with Neha Mehta, who plays Anjali on the same show, on Instagram.
The post captioned,'Daya and Anjali' has prompted many to ask whether the reports of her comeback are true. "When are you returning on sets Mrs Daya Ben," enquired a user. "Dayabhabhi please come back," urged another.
Post producer Asit Kumarr Modi's statement about them having started auditions for Dayaben's role, it was said that Disha Vakani apparently contacted the production house Neela Tele Films. A source informed Filmibeat that the makers are not in a hurry to cast Dayaben as yet since the new track does not necessarily need her. Hence, the final decision will be taken only after Modi returns from his family vacation in Italy. It's being said that she might return to the sets by 18th May.
Earlier, Asit had told a news channel that he is open to Disha's return on 'Taarak..', though they are in talks with a lot of other artists as well.
Disha has been missing from 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' since 2017. The actress went on a maternity break, and hasn't returned to the show yet, forcing the makers to look for a replacement.
A few days back, 'Papad Pol' actress Ami Trivedi's name had also popped up for replacing Disha on the show. However, she denied being approached by the makers.
