Deepika Singh set to make her comeback with 'Kavach 2', Mona Singh says 'I don't think fans will miss me'

Deepika Singh, best known for her role of Sandhya in 'Diya Aur Baati Hum', is now set to make a comeback on the small-screen with the second season of 'Kavach...Kaali Shaktiyon Se'. The actress was on a maternity break since May 2017 but she is now back in the business.

As per a latest report in SpotBoye, the new mommy has been paired opposite television hottie Namik Paul in the supernatural series. The duo recently shot for their pilot episode. 

“Deepika and Namik shot for their mahurat scene in a Shiv Temple located in Naigaon. Deepika looked very happy, she waited quite a bit before getting a nice break. She did not want to take up anything fluffy for just the heck of it,” the SpotBoye report stated. 

The role was first offered to Mona Singh, who featured in the lead role in 'Kavach' along with Vivek Dahiya and Mahek Chahal (she was later replaced by Sara Khan). However, Mona turned down the offer and the part eventually went to Deepika.

Mona told SpotBoye, “Yes, Kavach 2 is coming. And I did get approached for it after all it’s my show. But my months are packed for almost 5-6 months. Hence I will not be part of it. But I am equally excited to go on air and I will be glued to the TV screen".

When asked if her fans will miss her, "I don’t think so, but still if they miss me I will request them to watch the show with the new star cast and give equal love”

'Kavach 2' will most likely replace 'Naagin 3'.
